The new Pharaoh's Quest theme has been released, so let's take a look at the new sets. This time, we look at the largest set in the series - the 7327 Scorpion Pyramid. The set includes seven minifigures: Jake Raines, Mac McCloud, Professor Archibald Hale, Pharaoh Amset-Ra, 2 Anubis guards and 1 flying mummy.

Now, this is the largest set in the series, and perhaps also the best. Although not as good as the classic 5988 from the Adventurers series. The pyramid has nice colors, but is only half a pyramid at best, and I would have preferred if thay had used the pieces from the brick-built scorpion to build a bigger and better pyramid. I really don't like all these stickers, they seem to already begin to come off the baseplate in my set... :( The figs are nice, and the half-track is by far my favourite vehicle in the Pharaoh's Quest series. The play value also seems pretty good. And I like that the sarcophagus is available again.

I hate the stickers, but I hate all stickers. The scorpion is silly and I too would rather have seen his parts used to make a better building. The pyramid is a nice and much needed addition to the Egyptian sets. The figures are great too.

My biggest complaint about this set is the open pit on the right raised hill. It looks so cheap open like that. Especially when all that is needed to fix it was a 6x6 plate.

@Athos: I've placed the obilisk from Flying Mummy Attack over that hole.
I like the scorpion - I have removed the blue 2 by 2 brick and let the pharaoh ride the beast. It is also fun to have it grab some minifigs with its claws or impale one with its stinger. I also like the obilisk and the sliding doors.
The halftrack suffers from some design flaws I believe: the tracks slide underneath the big red piece, making driving it a little difficult. There's also too little space in the back for the one operating the machinegun.
