Autotransporter.
The wagon models are based on the AutoZugSylt(Auto Train Sylt). This train connects the mainland of Germany with the popular holiday island Sylt. It runs across the 11 km long Hindenburg railway dam. Autos were transferred with autotrain for the first time in the summer of 1950. Autos can be loaded and unloaded simultaneously from both decks. The wagon types used are Leks 554, Laaeks 555 and Leks 555 from DB(Deutsche Bahn). A total of ten wagons makes up the train.

The Model.
These are the first 2 wagons I have build of an autotransporter train. I have made 10 of them - 4 end cars and 6 mid cars. I have also built 8 automobiles for it, but still need another 32! The images shows the autotransporter with the automobile from the official LEGO® set 1255. The real wagons are lighblue, but it was impossible to build them in that colour, so I have choosen to build them in black. Thanks to James Mathis.
