27 june 2003 - Wright Flyer flies again!!

LEGO® has released a model of the Wright Flyer to celebrate a century of powered flight.The Wright brothers took to the sky for the first time in December 1903 at Kitty Hawk. This remarkable replica has 664 pieces. Price is 549 DKK (USD 60) The set number is 10124. It's 48 cm. long, 15 cm. high with a wingspan of 53 cm. Available from Shop at Home now.

25 June 2003 - Gravity Games™ Theme released!!

LEGO® has released a completely new series called Gravity Games™. There are 5 sets in the new theme so far. They are the 3535 Skateboard Street Park (68 pieces, DKK 69.95/USD 10), 3536 Snowboard Big Air Comp (82 pieces, DKK 119.75/USD 15), 3537 Skateboard Vert Park Challenge (90 pieces, DKK 199.75/USD 20), 3538 Snowboard Boarder Cross Race (195 pieces DKK 299.75/USD 30) and 3585 Snowboard Super Pipe (225 pieces USD 50). They all look like a lot of fun! The 3585 unfortunately has not been released in Europe yet.

16 June 2003 - New Discovery Theme released!!

LEGO® has released a completely new space theme known as Discovery™. There are 5 sets in the theme. They are the 7467 International Space Station (162 pieces, DKK 119.75/USD 15), 7468 Saturn V Moon Mission (178 pieces, DKK 199.95/USD 20), 7469 Mission To Mars (417 pieces, DKK 299/USD 30) and 7470 Space Shuttle Discovery (826 pieces DKK 599/USD 50). They all look great. A fifth set 7471 Mars Exploration Rover (858 pieces USD 75) has only been released in North America so far, but it's not as good as the others in my mind.

16 June 2003 - Small Orient Expedition sets released!


Three more Orient Expedition sets has been released. These are all very small, but nice sets. The 7422 Red Eagle, (India subtheme) has 30 pieces, the 7423 Mountain Sleigh is a small snow scooter with Prof. Kilroy (Mount Everest subtheme, 29 pieces) and finally the 7424 Black Cruiser - a small car from the China Subtheme driven by Sam Sinister(27 pieces). Price for each of the sets is DKK 24.95 (USD 3.99).

7 June 2003 - Danish LEGO® Club Founded!!!


The Danish LEGO® club Byggepladen, which means "The Baseplate", was founded on saturday june the 7th 2003! Byggepladen's website is still under construction. More info about the new club to be published in the future.
5 June 2003 - New Level Crossing coming!!

Yeah! Finally, there will be a new level crossing for your train/town layout! It looks pretty cool, and is a must for layouts. Actually this is more like 3 sets in one. It includes the level crossing, a signal tower build on a seperate baseplate and a maintenance truck. The set number is 10128. It apparently has 325 pieces and the price is supposed to be around 480 DKK/50 USD. Available in Europe from 7 Aug 2003, North America 11 Sep 2003.
