www.spor1.org is the website of Spor 1 Sjælland. For the most part this website is in Danish, but for our English reading visitors, we provide this page with information about us in English language.

Spor 1 Sjælland (Gauge 1 Zealand) is a small club, in the Copenhagen area of Denmark, which like our "sisterclub" Spor 1 Fyn, consists of members with the same interest - model railroading in scale 1:32, also known as Gauge 1 or Royal Gauge.

Spor 1 Sjælland was founded year 2006, and is a member of the Danish Model Railroad Association (DMJU).

Our interests are ERA III (year 1945 - 1970), and primarily German Steam Locomotives. However it is also possible to see diesel locomotives and Danish rolling stock at our layout. Every single module and all of the rolling stock are privately owned. Our locomotives are mostly produced by German companies KM1 and Märklin. Some of our DSB (Danish States Railways) rolling stock are rebuilt Märklin products.

Our objective is to create a modular layout (an oval track at first), to make sure that we are able to actually run our nice rolling stock. But in the long term, to be able to present the layout under different circumstances.

This could include:

• Domestic and international Model Railroad Exhibitions.
• As a play-event at companies or sports clubs against payment.
• As a display during festival or holliday seasons at department stores against payment.

The plan is to expand the oval layout in the future. Fully expanded there will be two long main lines, where it is possible to use prototype couplers, a branch line track, side/shunting tracks, at least two stations, three - four tunnels, bridge and turntable with roundhouse.

Facts (present layout):
Dimensions fully expanded: 19,20 x 6,00 meters at the moment.
Length of central station: Approximate 8 meters corresponding to 256 meters in real life.
The Central station building is made by EpokeModeller and is approximate 1,20 meters long.
The bridge is 10,80 meters long. Add to this the up and down slopes.
In total approximate 166 meters of track.
More than 50 modules at present.
25 regular switch points as well as 5 double switch points. All motorized and digitally controlled.
Transport: Car with trailer.
Setup/Takedown: Approximate 6 hours at present.
ZIMO digital control. 2x8A. Motorola/DCC protocol.
Combination of Hübner and Märklin tracks.
